Favorite Thing of the Week

I have a love hate relationship with Costco.
I DO enjoy shopping there. I HATE the crowds and how I have to park mile away to avoid super sized carts and the super sized geniuses that push them. I LOVE finding new stuff there. I HATE that I leave with three items and a total of $423.67. I like that they have a great little photo center with good prices and its easy to upload to. I don't like how some of the items come in sizes that are just too big for Randy and I to justify buying. I LOVE the pizza and bakery. I HATE the pizza and bakery. You know what I mean. Its Costco.
Anyway, I'll get to the point... a while ago my sister and I after a long, super cold photoshoot decided to stop at Costco and pick up a few things. I needed contacts, she needed 22 loaves of bread. The usual. Unfortunately, we broke the number one rule of Costco shopping: Never Go Hungry.
We started throwing things in the cart we didn't need. Everything sounded good. Thats when we stumbled onto these little lovelies: Mareblu Naturals Blueberry Pomegranate Trail Mix Crunch
This stuff is delightful. I LOVE it. Its a mix of almonds, cashews, pistachios, dried blueberries, and pomegranite. Its all natural, kosher, gluten free and some other stuff that I don't pay attention to because it actually tastes sooooo good!! They are like little clusters of blueberry nut deliciousness.
In the words of my wise, yet bratty nephew Kyle: They make me so happy.

That's why I love her...

Recent conversation between my sister and I as we wait to go through security in the Miami International Airport:

Me: Ugh. I hate security.

Lore: Hey, can the Amish fly? How's that work?

Me: Huh? Since when? No the Amish don't fly.

Lore: Well what's that guy doing?

Me: What?! What guy?

Lore: That one down there in line.

Me: (laughing) You nerd, that's an Orthodox Jew!

Lore: Ohhhhhhh.... yeah.

A status update of sorts..

Yes. I am alive.

Yes I am aware that my blog has begun to molder.

Yes I know the smell of decomposition is starting to waft through the links and stink up your own blogs.

HOWEVER---I also know that most of YOU haven't been blogging either and so that might just be your own stink. So step off.

Instead I offer you an invitation to join me in a new year blog sprucing. Its the perfect time. Resolve to blog more often. You know, change your background. Add some pictures. Make the place look nice. Use a little Fabreze---get rid of the smell. I think it will be beneficial to all, don't you? If there's blogs to read I get inspired. If there's reason to check on blogs I have more reason to feel guilt over my own... never underestimate the power of shame. It does wonders.

So I extend this Blog Swiffer to all. Any takers?
